Professor Maurice Howard

As part of a key collaborative research partnership for Sussex, Maurice Howard,

Professor of Art History, has undertaken work on major projects at the Victoria

and Albert Museum. These include the British Galleries and writing on heraldry for

an upcoming exhibition on the 16th-century Muscovy Trade, to be shown in both

Moscow and London. He is also on the team of a Leverhulme-funded project at the

National Portrait Gallery, examining the technical processes of Tudor and Stuart

portraiture.
