11th Annual Power of Women to Make a Difference Luncheon
As International Women's Day and Day Without A Woman critically activated communities across the world, our Women’s Leadership Council brought the invaluable power of women together for their 11th Annual Power of Women to Make a Difference Award Luncheon to celebrate and drive impact. Together, nearly 500 New Yorkers fought for families, especially children, living in our City's most-challenged communities.
Our Women’s Leadership Council and their Power of Women Luncheon champion education work, especially ReadNYC, our signature program to increase grade-level reading by third grade—a critical milestone in a child’s future success. A very special thank you to our unbelievable host Juju Chang of ABC News' Nightline, our sponsors Lafayette 148 New York, American Banker & SourceMedia, Time Inc., and AOL, and most-importantly our honorees, Kriss Deiglmeier of Tides, Jacki Kelley of Bloomberg Media, and Maroa C. Velez of Brown Brothers Harriman for showing us what it means to be a changemaker dedicated to advancing the common good!
