Laptops for school teachers in Schastya
With support from EU humanitarian aid, UNICEF conducts capacity building on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Conflict Sensitive Education (CSE) of 50 teachers. This program ensures that by end of 2020 an estimated 80% of all schools in close proximity to the ‘contact line’ (0-5 km) have at least some staff trained in both topics to share skills and knowledge with peers and children. As a part of the training, schools along the ‘contact line’ received laptops and multifunctional printing devices. The equipment will help teachers attend DRR and CSE sessions online, and support children with learning at home during COVID-19 quarantine restrictions or lockdown.
