Kindergarten #6 in Krasnohorivka has become one of ten educational facilities, where the Safe and Child-Friendly School concept is being implemented in the 2020-2021 academic year. This concept was developed by UNICEF together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
As part of the Safe School, each educational facility builds on an enabling environment for children, promotes competency-based approaches to learning and empowers self-governance through surveys among teachers, parents and students.
UNICEF also supported non-violent conflict resolution trainings for children and adults in schools and pre-schools along the ‘contact line’.
