ARIDA dissemination workshop
Mr Agazi Ameha (Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (PMR), Health section INICEF Ethiopia) giving a presentation on implementation research in Ethiopia.
In 2017, pneumonia accounted for 16% of under five deaths worldwide, making it the leading infectious cause of death, yet it is preventable, treatable and curable. The current method of diagnosing pneumonia in low-income countries depends entirely on the health worker manually counting the child’s breath for the duration of one minute. Pneumonia is underdiagnosed and inappropriately or undertreated. Pneumonia deaths are concentrated within the poorest populations. on Monday,3 December 2018 ©UNICEF Ethiopia/2018/Mulugeta Ayene
