Former hostel gives shelter to displaced in Kharkiv
UNHCR Ukraine together with the largest local community based organisation "Station Kharkiv" launches a joint project to assist internally displaced people (IDPs) in bordering the conflict zone Kharkiv region, that hosts more than 190,000 displaced persons from the conflict-affected areasone.
The ongoing hostilities and occasional spikes of violence force people to flee native homeplaces and search refuge in temporary accomodation. One of them is former hostel in Kharkiv adjusted to the needs of 40 internally displaced from the East. But all this only for limited period of time. In 30 days all displaced will have to leave hostel for new arrivals, who have no other place to live.
