On July 1, UNHCR dispatched another batch of EU Humanitarian aid for displaced communities in Nothern Donetsk. Nearly 2,500 internally displaced persons in Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka and Konstiantynivka will receive blankets, bedding sets, kitchenware, buckets and candles for their temporary homes. These districts in Nothern Donetsk region currently host nearly 100,000 IDPs, including many families with children and pensioners.
The distribution is organized by local volunteer initiative "SOS Kramatorsk". On July 1, the distribution point was visited by Christos Stylianides, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management. During his visit to Kramatorsk Mr. Stylianides announced additional 15 million EURO of humanitarian aid to meet the acute needs in Ukraine.
