On Friday, 5 May, UNHCR's convoy reached non-government controlled city of Luhansk in eastern Ukraine. 13 trucks delivered 500 metric tons of timber and insulation materials for ongoing shelter repairs in Luhansk region. In 2017, UNHCR plans to scale up its shelter program in non-government controlled areas of Luhansk with more than 1,000 houses planned for repairs
