Vital winter aid delivered to the grey zone village
While Ukraine was celebrating Orthodox Christmas last week, UNHCR partner NGO Proliska in coordination with Mariupol Field Office delivered much needed assistance to the village of Mariinka in the grey zone in Donetsk region. Located just few kilometers from the contact line, the village was heavily damaged by fighting. The delivery of first 153 cubic meters of firewood and 40 tons of cola was distributed to the most vulnerable people whose houses in the village outskirts were destroyed or severely damaged. With ongoing winterization program, UNHCR aims to target near 60,000 people in the remote communities affected by the crisis.
