With harsh winter and freezing temperatures around Ukraine, thousands IDPs have no sufficient savings to pay for winter clothes, blankets, heating and other items to survive the cold season. To support the most vulnerable, UNHCR provides cash assistance in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzia, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, intended to cover winterisation needs that displaced persons have due to the harsh winter conditions during the displacement.
