Since the devastating explosion on 4 August 2020, UN-Habitat was immediately engaged in the response on the ground, by working with partners to assess damage to buildings and private schools, remove and manage rubble left by the explosion, and supporting the municipalities in providing technical and coordination expertise. This is just a part of the work the team is engaged in, and that forms part of the larger reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts undertaken by the humanitarian community in impacted neighbourhoods with the wider community
