Photography Exhibition A Journey into Salah Eddin and Sultan Suleiman Streets
The exhibition is organized under the “Productivity and Urban Renewal in East Jerusalem - PURE Programme - The revitalization of the commercial areas of East Jerusalem in Sultan Suleiman and Salah Eddin Streets” funded by the European Union and the Islamic Development Bank and implemented in partnership with the Islamic Waqf and the Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jerusalem.
The exhibition illustrated historic photographs and memories of some 25 shop owners with their old family photos at the shop; a tradition that has been passed on from one generation to another. These owners are having their shops, which are housed in Waqf buildings, rehabilitated through the PURE programme.
The exhibition was held at Dar Issaf Nashashibi in Jerusalem between 19 - 20 October 2017.
