Commemoration of the U.S. military participation in the Korean War and the 72nd anniversary of the Miracle battle of Gapyeong, 26 May 2023, Gapyeong, Republic of Korea. On 26 May 1951, the U.S. Army's 213th Field Artillery Battalion of the Utah National Guard, together with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Army's 21st Infantry Regiment, fought together and survived fierce battles against Chinese forces. Faced against about 4,000 Chinese Soldiers, the remaining 600 Soldiers from 213th FA Battalion who guarded the rear hill defended their positions. All 600 survived.
