El Fasher Hospital
8 December 2012. El Fasher: Patients and relatives at the intensive-care area of the El Fasher Hospital, North Darfur. The intensive-care area has only ten beds and doesn't have capacity for all cases. More than 500 patients visit the hospital everyday and they are assisted first by 4 emergency doctors during the day. At night time, only one is on duty.
The population of El Fasher has increased enormously for the last years due to the arrival of Internally Displaced Persons at the outskirts of the city and it became a problem of capacity for the hospital.
