UNHCR Helps Displaced in Erbil, Iraq
Two small children who fled the escalating violence in the southern part of Iraq share a small house with relatives in Turaq. The Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) through its local implementing partner Public Aid Organization (PAO) provides food and non-food items, as well as legal protection and counselling for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) such as the young children photographed here.
