A nine-day media training course was organized by Myanmar's National Programme for 21 journalists from leading print, TV and radio including the Myanmar Times, The Voice, The Daily Mirror and Myanmar Radio and TV (MRTV). The event, entitled "Reporting on Forests & Carbon Emissions," was held from 18-26 July at Inle Lake, Shan State.

The objective of this workshop was to offer an opportunity for mid to senior national journalists to enhance their understanding of forests, climate change, REDD+ and the UN-REDD Programme.
