UMass Boston's "Peace: What's it to You?" campaign
The University of Massachusetts Boston, in partnership with the City of Boston and Boston Police Department, has launched a new youth-driven billboard campaign promoting peace in the Mattapan, Dorchester, and Roxbury neighborhoods.

UMass Boston wanted to give the city’s young people a chance to speak out against street crime and gang violence by sharing their messages of peace, tolerance, and love in their communities.

The billboards were unveiled at a ceremony at Washington and Bowdoin streets in Dorchester on October 5, with UMass Boston Chancellor J. Keith Motley, Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis, youth, and community members in attendance.
