King Salmon Salad
Grilled king salmon over pea shoots, sea beans and fennel salad with spicy citrus vinaigrette. ($11)
Notes: Fresh and nicely grilled (textbook char marks) king salmon. Grilled slightly a little more than I would have prefered - I like the inside of my salmon medium rare. What really attracted me to this dish was the sea beans, a novelty I have not noticed on U.S. menus until just this year. Fresh young pea shoots and shaved fennel also added grassy-herby flavor. The spicy citrus vinaigrette was more sweet than tart or spicy - very good. I thought it was honey at first. Can't complain for $11.
