I Love You So Much
Once someone told me, she accelerates every time she sees a cat walking on the road, aiming for a brutal car kill. It's hard to believe that this goes around in people's heads. But it does. If we count the endless animal bodies lying on our roads, we know not all of them were inevitable accidents. Not all of them were coldblooded cases of murder neither. In general, most of those animals are lying there because people don't care. They are just an unfortunately fading dark spot on the road. But, every single one of them is leaving a family behind, a nest, a partner, a mother, an offspring - or a girl or a boy at home that used to take care of them. Sometimes you can still see the pain in those jane doe's eyes, the fear, the look of death right before they went, sometimes you see no more than a smeared bunch of organs. I want to show these beings in close-up, because they deserve to be noticed, to be spared, to be worth hitting your brakes for.
People told me this photo series could be therapeutical. But actually it's not me that needs to be cured. It's humanity that needs to get involved.
