Bluebells in Dockey Wood, Hertfordshire, UK | The Flowering English Countryside (13 of 30)
Bluebells in Dockey Wood, Hertfordshire, England
The Beech woodlands in this photo (which are part of the Ashridge Forest area in Hertfordshire and managed by the UK's National Trust), are one of the best places in the country to see English Bluebells flowering in Spring.
The color in these woods is very dependent on the ambient light. I was fortunate to take this photo on a very still and overcast day - the diffuse light was great for saturated colors.
