Matagalpa, Nicaragua (Selva Negra Estate)

It is without question that agriculture is one of the most diverse industries in the world.

From agronomy, to biotechnology, to horticulture, the face of agriculture is unique and always changing. Yet the unique thing about agriculture is its ability to unite citizens from around the world because of our common need for agriculture. The coffee cherries depicted above are of different varieties and ripeness. Yet they come together to form one cup of coffee as a result of hard work and dedication.

From my experiences observing international agriculture, I found that agriculturalists around the world take pride in their work. Agriculture is not merely their job; it is their passion and way of life. Agriculture is celebrated with community gatherings, singing, dancing and rejoicing in the culture that defines agriculture.
