Cumberland Lodge 2012
On 25-26 April 2012, a group of over 20 students and Faculty members attended the fourth annual UCL Laws Research study retreat at Cumberland Lodge, Great Park, Windsor. The aim of the retreat is to foster the Faculty's research community by offering students the time and space to think about their research projects together, receiving peer feedback in an informal and supportive setting. The Cumberland Lodge retreat is open to all research students at UCL Laws, with priority given to those who are in the first year of their PhD programme.

This year's Cumberland Lodge event was organised by members of the Research Studies Team. Participating students provided valuable input on the conference agenda and related activities. During the retreat, students held an 'ideas fair', a writing clinic, and a reading workshop, commenting upon short presentations from their peers as to current research in progress. Participants also had time to enjoy walks in the park and some extra-curricular activities!
