Climate Reality
Photos from the Climate Reality Leadership Training Corps event in Los Angeles 8-28-18. The three-day program held at the Los Angeles Convention Center is one of a number of training events held worldwide throughout the year to prepare individuals to become Climate Reality Leaders. Participants work with former Vice President Al Gore and world-renowned scientists and communicators learning about the climate crisis and solutions to the worldwide problem. More than 2,200 people from the U.S. and countries around the world -- the largest training event to date -- participated in the Los Angeles program designed to provide skills and knowledge about climate change, as well as network, to shape public opinion, influence policy, and inspire communities to action. J.R. DeShazo, chair of Public Policy at the UCLA Luskin School of Public affairs and director of the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation participated in a panel on "California's Roadmap for Climate Leadership" moderated by Al Gore.
