Noh is a traditional Japanese theater that emphasized asethics and form. Noh is performed along side with Kyogen, a comedic play meant to make the audience laugh. Both types of plays originated in 14 century Japan.

 

The main performer in Noh wear a mask, usually one of a demon or a spirit.
