Yosemite Valley Camp 4
Mark didn’t think we needed to reserve a spot which meant the best place to camp was Camp 4, which doesn’t accept reservations. When we got there, it was long since filled up, but they begged others to allow us to squat at their campsites.
At dawn, I woke up before the others and took this panorama of the campsite. I had not seen Yosemite Valley because we came in so late last night. In the morning I was surrounded by beauty (which this shot doesn’t capture at all).
Settings: 12 shots @ 12mm. Manual Exposure. 1/25sec f/4.0 ISO 800.
Filters: polarizer + 81A
Adjustments: white balance, NeatImage, PTMac (enblend, sinc1024), iSharp3 clean, resize
Issues: The autobracketing I use was accidentally turned off (I got three shots at the same exposure) so I can’t get the sky or foreground exposed correctly; accidentally left it at ISO 800 from last night; photos resized smaller by 50% (Flickr was having trouble with the 5MB upload)
