Sorry if it's disturbing that I caught the hawks at meal time.
My assumption was that this parent has caught this fish and is eating it away from the nest. It then carries a large portion to the nest, whereupon the other parent takes the fish back to the lamp post that I'd found the first one at, and consumes some. I didn't stay to see how much or what happens when the bird is full. I suspect the first one is regurgitating some of the food it consumed for the kids, and that the consumption is done away from the nest so as not to attract danger to the kids. Just guessing though.
