Rio de Janeiro

The Guanabara Bay that separates Rio de Janeiro from the city of Niterói, is the second largest bay in Brazil by area. The bay has more than 130 islands and is surrounded by luxuriant tropical forests, beaches, strangely-shaped rocks and peaks, including the world-famous Sugar Loaf, and a backdrop of the high mountains of Serra do Mar.
