Northern Lights

Feb. 18th, 2010

Iso-Syote, Finland. Light pollution is from the ski-slope's HP Sodium and Mercury Vapour floodlights which were thankfully switched off at 10:30pm.

Constellations here are; Draco, Ursa Minor, Ursa Major (part), Hercules, Corona Borealis. Note the double star in the handle of the Plough and the globular cluster M13 in Hercules. There is also a faint satellite travelling through Hercules.
