First time in my life I've seen so many birds flocking around madly..

Not sure what they were...A small one showed up in the garden of my workplace for a moment ..Had some blue stripes on his gray body ..but was it from the flock ? I have no idea..As my Erasmus students were impatiently waiting to start the Turkish lesson,I couldn't take as many photos as I liked or as painstakingly as I should have..Actually we were supposed to have already started the lesson...Still, happy to have caught this..Never seen anything like this...The sky was all covered with birds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is some info about these birds from my dear friend Blue Sky Day :

The blue ones with black beaks are Grackles and the speckled ones with yellow beaks are Starlings. I have seen flocks feeding here and dark cloud looking flocks in the distance. they do this at dusk when they are coming in for the night's roosting. All the individual flocks that have been feeding together all day join up into one great flock! There is a heirarchy of dominance... dominant males get the prime (warmest and dryest) roosting spots and the females and young birds are stuck on the perimeter. If you want to see them in flight go to youtube and search for starling flock is truly amazing.

Thank you so much Blue Sky Day :)
