His reality distortion field(?)

This the second try continuing the experiments to combine the theory of anomalous motion illusion and stereopsis with mosaic - tesselation - symmetry theory.

The image is best viewer on actual pixel view 100% and not scaled.

Download the original file and open it in Photoshop in Full screen view.

Some explanation for the subject:

Steve Jobs is a personal hero of mine. I admire his charisma and I think just few people have his vision. So, I am a convinced guy.

But there are the non convinced. The people who always talk about his "reality distortion field". The way Steve has to create another reality, moving all over him, Apple and Macs.

So for them (and not only) I choose to create an illusionary portrait of Steve.

Credit goes to:

1. Akiyoshi Kitaoka for his papers on Illusion and his brilliand work. His guides for optimising the Fraser-Wilcox illusion are used here.

2. My beloved teachers Nino Di Salvatore and Augusto Garau for the love they inspired me for Gestalt phychology and Illusions. Garau's theory of perceptional transparency is widely uded to create these patterns.

3. The photographer of the original photo. I really cannot find his name.

4. The creator of Synthetik StudioArtist, Joe Dalton for the perfect tool he gaves us.

Hope you get dizzy enough with this. Next illusion or therapy on MacWorld's Keynote. January 9th. (01/09/2007, 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

"The First 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007"

We are waiting, Steve!
