Barcelona Pavilion

    Newer Older

The Barcelona Pavilion, designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, was the German Pavilion for the 1929 World's Fair in Barcelona. This is a copy built on the same site after the original was demolished. The chairs, which you can still buy, were the thrones for the king and queen of Spain when they visited. If the sit in them, someone will probably tell you not to.
