I am impressed with you use of D.O.F here Depth of field is something I am still struggling with using my Nikon Coolpix 5400, well done, the old large format photographer in me alys aims for the smallest aperture I can get but this is not always the best way to go with CCDs, me-thinks?.

ccd's and "digital" lenses mean great and uniform DOF. However, there's a way around this in Photoshop: mask of the part of the image you want to stay sharp, inverse selection and copy: then apply a lens blur filter to the entire image and finally paste the masked part of the image back. You might want to experiment with brush settings to create a mask and you can add some noise to mask the transitions between the masked off areas and the blurred picture. It looks like a similar technique was employed here.

No photoshoping was done here. Simply lense with wide aperture (f1.8)was used to get narrow depth of field.

here's a two step process to simulate DOF in photoshop. 1 Add a blur to ur layer
2 Use history bush to go over the parts you want to remain sharp.
