This afternoon, I was shooting a Canada Goose family I've been tracking on the Milwaukee River, along the Riverwalk, and after photographing the geese, I stumbled upon this sign on the West bank of the Milwaukee River, just south of the Kilbourn Avenue bridge under the Riverwalk, just a wee bit south of the "concrete chunk tipping" construction contractor incident that, due to an astronomical level of local media coverage, lead to a laborer losing his job yesterday. While I'm in no way bent out of shape about this (I do not have knowledge of what truly happened that day), I found it somewhat interesting that the sign reads: "COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW DISCHARGE POINT," "Avoid Contact With Water During Overflows," "Water From This Pipe Contains Bacteria & Pollution That May Be Harmful To Your Health" [MMSD LOGO, followed by illegible fine print]; "For More Information Visit," [more illegible fine print]
