• orson scott card rocks...i love the ender series, but haven't made it to this one yet...would love to find it in a used bookstore someday.

or hey, maybe in the library! =] - are you my rik?
  • Neil Gaiman is my modern literary idol! A storyteller in the purest sense of the word. Looks great under the stiletto too. ;-) - Claytonia
  • Pattern Recognition is actually my favorite Gibson, but I have the trade paperback size and it didn't look good with these pulp paper sized books. :)

For the record, I also have Count Zero, Virtual Light and All Tomorrow's Parties; these are my favorites.
  • Now I want to read this again. - Patrick Johanneson

Day 108 - Cyberpunk librarian

Newer Older

ok, not all of these titles are strictly cyberpunk but I couldn't pass up the title. you can tell which ones I've lent out--they're the ones with the cracked spines... Yes, I'm *that* kind of book person.

Someday I may write about the parallels between the Neuromancer series and Pattern Recognition. I also have a list of "found poetry" from PR that I need to post somewhere. Glorious writing. Unrivaled, even the fragments.

    I am not familiar with Gibson's parties, but as I have just recently started to read Idoru, as you suggested it will wait ;}

did you post your "found poetry" list anywhere, sounds tempting.

Gibson is cyberpunk. Stephenson is InternetGeekPunk.

A real cyberpunk girl would have boots on.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Science Fiction Unleashed, and we'd love to have your photo added to the group.

I'm such a geek that I find this incredibly sexy. I'm "that" type of a book person too, but I'm married to a major spine-bender, so I can't prove it.

    Wow.
I'm such a geek. I've got them all - thinking of which would be my top ones, wondering which I would shoot, trying to remember the reggae guy on the dub ship in that one novel, thinking I should reread some, looking over and seeing myself STILL only halfway through Quicksilver.

Then looking back at this run-on sentence. Shaking my head.

    Great job.

Peter Hamilton is awesome! I only just got in to his books and currently reading the epic Commonwealth Series. I'm on book one called Pandora's Star. He's one of the best British SF authors around. Totally hooked on his multi plot, deep story lines. To anyone out there who's an SF fan, Hamilton is a seriously good SF writer. All his books seem to be 1000+ pages, or at least the recent ones are. Seriously meaty stuff.
