On the move

After leaving our first terrific camp in Selous Game Reserve and landing on the airstrip at Mwagusi in Ruaha National Park, we drove off towards our second camp. Everybody who goes to Tanzania wants to see leopard but we had been warned that they are shy and reclusive animals and we honestly didn't expect to see any at all. However, we had only been driving for about 20 minutes when we came across this leopard! We were beside ourselves with excitement and couldn't believe our luck. It was sitting on the branch quite calmly but obviously had something else in mind as it stood up,walked along the branch and then descended the tree before disappearing into the long undergrowth. What a fantastic welcome to Ruaha!
