Cape May Warbler
This is one of the Cape Mays that I mentioned in the previous post wintering here in Ft. Lauderdale, always in the company of at least one Tennessee Warbler. Don discovered a very regular pattern to the time and route of their feeding. I'm not sure why they stayed...the Gumbo Limbo trees all over the parking lot were full of bugs, covering the undersides of all the leaves, so much so they looked like cotton. Our winter was also very warm....who knows why they didn't migrate further south....I just felt very happy to be able to watch them all winter long!
