The Veritas League and the Quest for the Tome of Tangiers: The Right Tool
The C-GPS (Celestial Global Positioning System) designed by my friend and colleague Professor Quentin Ziplash was the perfect tool for our current situation. The C-GPS simplifies the time honored practices of celestial navigation utilized by sailors for centuries. Similar to a sextant in operation, the C-GPS allows one to plot one's position and direction anywhere stars are visible.
I glanced out my window. Timing was with me. Although night was falling and a few stars had begun to appear, there was still enough residual light to allow me to make note of several key archeological and geological reference points within sight of my position. I took the C-GPS to the upper deck of the Hoever-Carriage and quickly began to plot our location and draft out a directional map of the ruins visible from the deck.
After some minutes I heard a quiet sigh. To my surprise there sat Lady Porkshanks patiently waiting for dinner.
