Samba Fest 2011
The Trinity College Samba Fest has become such a popular event on campus and in the greater Hartford region, that this year's festival was moved to the Hartford Riverfront. Led by Trinity professor Eric Galm and the Trinity Samba Ensemble, the event included performances by Berimbrown, an Afro Fusion Band from Brazil; Ginga Brasileira (Brazilian Dance); Mixashawn (Trinity IDP); and Guakibom Jazz, directed by Ray Gonzalez; Jose Paulo; and Khaiim Kelly '02 (the RaPoet). Spectators brushed the rain off their shoulders and danced the afternoon away at the Festival, now in its fifth year.
