north to south

A short stack shot in between the passing clouds. I have not had a cloudless night ever here in Japan. It is reeeeally starting to frustrate me. The bits of green are from where our flashlights hit the trees. I was going to make those parts black but I kind of like it as it reminds me of that we were there and we were busy making pictures.

5Dm2 and Canon 15mm fisheye, 44 shots stacked that show 22 minutes of night sky. The dense patch to the right of the tower is the milky way. The top of the frames is the horizon looking north and the bottom is the horizon on the south. Shot at the fertility shrine AKA "cock temple" hidden in the mountains.
