The world through her eyes
“Where we love is home, home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.”
~ Oliver Wendell Homes
It's never easy seeing a child leave home to embark on the next stage in their life, even though you know in your heart they have the strength and independence to succeed. Bright and early tomorrow a.m., our middle daughter leaves home to spend the next four months living and working in British Columbia. Though we have no doubts whatsoever that she will flourish and succeed in the world, we can't help but shed a tear for the hole that will be left — if only temporarily — in our household. This one's for you, Larissa!
P.S. I realize many of my new contacts will have come here looking for more nature photography. Rest assured, there will be plenty more of that. This portrait of my daughter took priority for the day. Hope you understand and enjoy it too.
Happy Monday Blues (not so much the color blue, 'cept maybe the eyes, here)!
