Chattanooga Ballet - Preview of image from 2011 Calendar
edit by Tenzin Landi
We shot for three grueling days. This was the first day and the longest shoot at three hours. We quickly learned that we couldn't spend the kind of time I'm used to on each set if we were to get all 12 images for the calendar in just 3 days. This was taken at the Bluff View Art District's Sculture Garden. There is a brook to the left of the frame that I wanted to see in the shot, but this turned out to be the best shot so it didn't make the cut. The Veteran's Bridge can be seen in the background. My only regret for this photo was that I didn't have a nice rock for Kirsten to stand on so we could see her foot. Oh well, it's still beautiful. :)
Strobist: One shoot through umbrella with an SB-800 held by Kat on a stand off camera right. One SB-600 raw hand held off camera left to illuminate the off frame brook. Both triggered by SB-900 on camera via Nikon CLS.

"Be on the lookout for Chattanooga Ballet Calendars. We've been working on a wonderful project this year of producing a 2011 calendar. It's full of beautiful pictures of the company dancers around Chattanooga, thanks to the work of Jesse Guardiani and Kathryn Dunn. They will be for sale during the Full Run-thru at the studio on December 4th and at Clara's Boutique in the Tivoli lobby during the public performances of the Nutcracker on December 10th, 11th, and 12th. There is a limited quantity, so get one before they're gone."
