    The Oak at the Gate of the Dead (a.k.a. the Crogen Oak) is an ancient pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) growing at the site of the Battle of Crogen, which was fought in 1165 between the Welsh and English. Its dbh has been recorded as 3.1 m. The tree split in two in January 2010 but lives on.
