Beautiful lichen - fruticose Gold Eye Lichen (Teloschistes chrysophthalmus or kin) on branch of Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia) - with apothecia

Maybe this beautiful lichen is the "fruticose" Gold Eye Lichen (Teloschistes chrysophthalmus or kin) growing on a living branch of Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia). I assume the "gold eyes" are the apothecia (spore-bearing structures) of the fungal part of the lichen partnership between fungus and algae. They can't reproduce the lichen - only the fungus. There's a different "foliose" lichen in the photo with little dark hair-like structures that may well be the apothecia of their fungi. (San Marcos Pass, 14 January 2013)
