Netherlands, Aruba
This island has little to offer those of us interested in culture and nature. It is a hotel and party island. The one bright spot was the archaeological museum in Oranjestad which was excellent. The displays of local archaeology were well done and well marked. The only problem I have is with some of the interpretation. They identify the round stones with grooves as bolas, but there was nothing on the island to hunt with bolas. They identify some tools as farming implements for growing corn but corn does not grow on this island today. I would suspect these were fishing people.
