EAST COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Shortly after 10:00am on April 29th, Chester County 911 dispatched crews from Pottstown Goodwill Ambulance and Ridge Fire Company to PA-724 in the area of Peterman Road for a motorcycle accident. Initial callers indicated a motorcyclist that had been thrown from his cycle.

EMS crews found a twenty year old male that lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle that was split in two by the impact of the crash. The operator told emergency workers that he was traveling one hundred miles an hour when he lost control and careened off the roadway. Fortunately the rider was wearing a helmet which he said was scratched up from a previous accident. It was still determined that he needed to be examined at a trauma center and SkyCare 1 from Brandywine Hospital was requested. SkyCare 1 transported the accident victim to Reading Hospital and Trauma Center.

Ridge Fire Company fire police directed traffic at the crash scene and secured the helicopter landing zone, while East Coventry Township police investigated the accident scene.
