Cherry Blossoms in High Park - flowers

    Newer Older

Cherry Blossom At High Park 2015. Very beautiful. In 1959, the Japanese ambassador to Canada, Toru-Hagiwara presented 2000 Japanese Somei-Yoshino Sakura trees to the citizens of Toronto on behalf of the citizens of Tokyo, in appreciation of accepting relocated Japanese-Canadians after the Second World War.

Sarah Mitchell - thanks Sarah - I had a nice subject and it was good to get the individual flowers that make up the cherry blossom :-).
