I forget what hotel this is but it's one of the "tony" hotels in DC, just south of L'Enfant Plaza next to DHS HQ.
I don't know if these are really "cherry-blossoms" but they look good and this is what is blooming in the DC area now. So I shot them :)
Anyway, with film and the Tamron 19-35 I could take a lot of decent shots in the DC metro area. What strikes me, often, lately, is the dichotomy between "street-shooting" in the middle of a decent-sized city, even a sub-uburb like Bethesda or Rosslyn, and the suburban wasteland outside of one. You know, where all the houses are, but it's a cookie-cutter wasteland for the most part. Not sure what to say about it, just interesting and ironic all the same time.
