More than a Muffin

Today I had my first Rossland muffin, from Clancey’s. Everyone had been telling me I had to try it and today I did. It is one of the largest muffins I have ever seen and it is filled with cream cheese! I have visited Clancey’s a few times; it’s a great place to sip a latte. I have noticed these giant warm muffins before but didn’t know if I could handle it. A friend brought me one this morning and waited in anticipation on my first bite and my first experience of this unknown land. I was amazed.

I have noticed during my summer here that Rosslanders’ both work and play hard and this also applies to their muffins. This is more than a muffin, this is a Rossland muffin.

Elevated beauty, unassuming charm and a golden past characterize Rossland. This truly is the best place to live, work and play. Some of the unlimited activities in Rossland include, mountain biking, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, downhill, Nordic and snow cat skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding. And of course their incredible dining, spas and numerous festivals and events throughout the year are other great reason to visit.

Nestled in the crater of an ancient volcano at an elevation of 1023 meters, Rossland is one of Canada’s highest cities. With an average annual snowfall of 750 centimeters (300”) at Red Mountain, Rossland has a renowned reputation for powder skiing and has produced some of Canada’s best ski racers. Rossland offers mountain bikers and hikers hundreds of kilometers of trails, all radiating from the center of town.

Check out Rossland and be sure to try a muffin!
