    To Sit In Solemn Silence.

I found peoples interactions with me today to be quite entertaining... I went into the state park that's across the street from my neighborhood and began taping newspaper to trees... Lot's of people were walking/jogging on the trail that's just a little ways behind where my camera was. They had a clear view of me. It's funny how there are so many different types of people. Quite a few would walk by pretending they didn't notice me and then steal glances while they thought I wasn't looking or they would pull out their cell phones and pretend to text/"look busy." Some would just unashamedly stare at me with this confused "what is wrong with that child" expression on their faces. I did have a few people stop and ask me what I was doing, including a woman on a horse who (after explaining my photo concept) continued to go on and on about how it was just the cutest concept... Not that you all needed to hear that stuff... Sometimes I just like to ramble. Yup.

very nice photo!! it's a shame that all those trees are being cut down to just make newspaper and babble about what's happening in the world, the worse to come: people read those newspaper and they don't give a damn about what's happening in the rest of the world, they just read it to babble more!!

This is very neat, I love all the work and elaboration. The last photo I uploaded is the exact same idea and it took me 4 hours to cover a whole wall with paper. Great work

This is one of the best idea's I've ever seen. These crisp colors are really great.

oh yeah this is really cool! Dang those are some big trees too :P The tree to the front of my shot that is the biggest definitely took the longest to cover, I can't imagine how long this took! Awesome job though!

and to me, very inspiring. I really need to get better to let go of my inhibitions. Nicely done. and really nice stream (just stumbled upon it from the "Best Concept Photo" thread). Especially giving that you are saying you are relatively new to photography.

This is art. Imaginative and a lot of effort. I just love art that interacts with people and though you can see it here I can imagine how interesting it was setting up. I like the association of wrapping trees in their own product ... I presume you have seen Andy Goldsworthys artwork ... photographing his creations in nature? Superb.
