Lots Road Power Station

Lots Road Power Station supplied electricity to the London Underground; the power station in Chelsea was operational from 1905-2001 and is now disused. When it was still coal-powered it burned 700t of coals per day, creating 50,000 kW of electricity. The power station is now supposed to be transformed into a posh shopping and apartment block, flanked by two massive towers. Whatever they do, I hope they do it right - I love what is left of the old industrial heart of London along the Thames.
